Once someone cheats and that trust is broken it never truly comes back in my experience. My ex started by having dating apps on his phone. I never got into them so I couldn’t “prove” anything but they were there. After that i didnt even want to look at him but stupidly i stayed. I didnt trust him so I kept looking for things to say he was cheating. Then i found messages between him and this girl which he dismissed as her being just a friend until I actually caught them in bed together. He begged for me, insisted she meant nothing, said he loved me, promised to change, broke down in tears the whole thing. I tried to make things work. I didnt want to “throw away” our relationship for a girl that meant “nothing” to him like he said. Especially because we had kids. But nothing he did could make me trust him again. I quest everything he did, i went crazy whenever he was out thinking he was with another girl, I couldnt even stand seeing him on his phone. Every time I thought i could be happy with him, I thought of those moments I caught him lying to me and I couldn’t bring myself to fully forgive him. A relationship without trust doesn’t work. If you don’t trust your partner you truly shouldn’t be with them because it’s a toxic situation

Nope. I have 2 instant deal breakers and they are : cheating, and putting hands on me. I have left every guy i found out cheated on me and never looked back. Thankfully I’ve never had a guy hit/hurt me physically 😁

No, I ended my marriage because I caught him having an affair. This was after years of dealing with his alcoholism and questionable behavior. However, I will say that I think some marriages are fixable. It depends on whether or not the “foundation” is strong.
