What age is okay to go on a one-on one date?

Just asking because my son who's 16 wants to go on a date with his girlfriend and he has his own car 😭 I said maybe BUT if I allow it I'm driving him there and driving him back and they need to go somewhere where it's very crowded like the movies

I got fucked in the back of the movie theaters.. Just saying. Sex is honestly something you can't prevent. Make sure he has condoms, understands that no means no, and send him off. 
But to answer your question- My dad did it like this:
13- No dating lol 
14- I could have group dates
15- I could go to the mall or the park with a boy
16+- I could have actual dates with a boy. 
My dad would always say "Kayla use a condom" and I'd just be like DAD! Lol

I was able to go on dates at 16+. It would be up to the parents to say what the rules are. Teach/promote safe sex, consent and all that shit so he's smart about it because let's face it, he's going to be interested in sex.

He isnt 12...thata way overprotective. I went on dates alone in 8th grade, group dates starting in 6th grade.
