My son is 20 months old, we have everything ready for potty training but he hates sitting on the potty and won't use the toilet. He prefers to squat when weeing and pooping and refuses to sit instead. He also tries to take off wet/dirty nappies himself and hates wearing nappies in general. Recently he will make it really obvious he is pooping and if we ask if he is doing a poo he will confirm for us (doesn't do this with a wee). He's also dry through the night, doesn't wee until he wakes up.

I don't know if I should start potty training and if I do start, how do I start when he refuses to wee/poo sitting down? Is there anything else I need to wait for to know he's ready?
