TTC after miscarriage- testing UK

So I've now had 3 reoccurring miscarriages therefore I will be referred for further tests now, we have been told that the referral itself can take 6-8 weeks that's before any testing etc and the one of the tests requires 12 weeks in between without getting pregnant in that time.....

We've also been told that it's high chances that everything will come back normal especially as we already have one healthy baby (1 year old)- is it worth the time to be told everything is probably okay??

What did others do? We were originally going to have a month off then try again but obviously dont want another miscarriage....
