Time for size 2 diapers?

My son is in size 1 and they seem to fit fine but over the past week two of his poopy diapers went outside the diaper. I know
it happens but does this mean maybe he’s ready for size 2? He was 11lbs 3oz at his 1 month check up on January 20th and we go back next week for his 2 month. I’m not sure what he weighs now but I’m assuming around 13-14lbs.

I’ve found it depends on the diaper. She’s been size two in pampers for a while but we’re jusy now going to size two Huggies just depends on how your little one is built!

My son weighs 13 lbs 4oz at his 2 month appt last week and we will be sizing up to size 2 as soon as this pack of 1s is done. Within the next week...

With my first anytime I noticed overflows happening frequently whether it was poop or pee I would go up a size. 
Typically pee overflows only happened at night but if it started happening several nights in a row we would move up and then it would stop. 
My first is currently in size 5s and is only 21 lbs even though 5s the recommended weight starts at 27 lbs. if she was in 4s she would constantly overflow. 
My son is about to be two months and I don’t know his weight yet but I know two weeks after his birth he was almost up a lb from his birth weight and that was after losing some weight too. He eats a lot so I have no clue what to expect weight wise but today I noticed he may need to move up to twos soon. 
I would suggest try it and if it’s too big or anything then just switch back and save the twos for later.
