Leaving 1 year old with In laws
My husbands birthday is coming up and we are traveling out of state. We will be gone 6 days. We have decided to leave my 1 year old with my MIL. I fully trust my MIL. She has always been great with my daughter, however some of the days I will be gone she has to work. So the days my MIL is working my SIL will have my daughter.
I trust my SIL but she doesn’t have kids nor has she ever babysat. She recently got engaged rather quickly and I don’t completely trust her fiancé as I hardly know him. I don’t think he would do anything stupid seeing as he is a doctor, but I’m just scared for my daughter to be alone with him. Do you think I’m overreacting telling my SIL that she cannot leave my daughter alone with her fiancé?
EDIT: Her fiancé has been around my daughter and has been great with her. Maybe I’m just afraid to leave her for that long. It just isn’t possible for me to take her on this trip. It would be selfish of me to keep her in a car seat for over 24hours as we are driving and not stopping. My SIL has watched my daughter for a hour tops, but I was in the same house, just doing different things. I think my nerves are just getting the best of me because it’s hard for me to leave my little one
