Membrane Sweep?!

Question

So I'm 39 weeks 4 days pregnant and as of Friday i was 2cm dilated and 85% effaced. I have since had some intense contractions that i am hoping dilated me or thinned my cervix. I have my next appointment tomorrow and was wondering about if i am offered a membrane sweep if i should take it. Do you think it will help labor start for me? And can I hear your stories please:)

I had a sweep done at 40 +1 and it sent me into early labor shortly afterward. By the end of the same night I was admitted to the hospital and had my daughter the next day. It works well for some (like myself), but it sometimes doesn’t or it might take longer for it to work for others. Worth a try in my opinion
