Baby chewing on crib

So this morning when my son woke up and I went in to get him from his crib I caught him chewing on the crib. Like how my dog would chew up a bone... he had little paint flecks all over his face. This is the first time he has done this to my knowledge and he is 14 months old. How can I stop this?? I dont want him to break his little teeth and keep eating paint/wood 😭
