Doula or no Doula

I am curios to know about other woman’s experiences working with a doula as I am trying to decide if I want one. For those of you that had one, did you feel like their presence was worth the investment?

For those of you that didn’t have one, did you feel like you should have after the fact?

My husband is such a wonderful support system for me and I know that he feels like he can be that for me in the delivery room but neither one of us has actually experienced a birth before.

I know I have some time to decide still but would love to get a jump start to ensure that if I do get a doula I will be able to work with the one that best fits my needs.
