So trying to build my boyfriends score up to buy house hes at like a 565 and than a 529 on another credit bureau. Any tips ways to build it fast to get it a 640.

I just bought a house 1 & 1/2 years ago. To buy a house you need to have had a job that pays a certain amount (here it’s 50,000+/year) you need to be at that job minimum 2years. And you need to have 2 separate loans (1. Credit card, 2.Car loan or small personal loan) it helps if you have been renting somewhere for more than a year. Don’t rise your credit limit on your credit card! Lenders look at “credit limits” as an amount of debt even tho it’s not! (Example; if you fall behind on payments that high credit limit people will max it out in desperate times) one wouldn’t spend that much on a credit card so why raise it anyway! Always pay your credit cards off each month or more than half if you can’t. Also work on your own credit in case the title can’t be granted to himself only, banks will be more likely to grant a mortgage since there is more income to put towards that loan. ALSO a couple things that happened to me; the bank wasn’t reporting my car payments to the credit bureau so it was doing nothing for my credit so I had to phone it! Another; I had 2 files under one of the credit bureaus so I had to combine the files for higher credit score! Good luck 🏡

If you haven't done so already, check his report for any old debt that may have been turned into collections.  Before I bought my first home, I pulled my report and was surprised to see a $90 balance that had been in collections for years.  It was for an old gas bill from my college days.  Once I paid it, my score increased by 30 points.  After that, I focused on lowering the balance on my credit card, but that didn't raise my score as much as paying off the old debt.
