Natural labor how did you feel?

How did you feel, how did it go, what symptoms did you have going into labor without being induced?

I went to bed at 10:30 pm the night before. I woke at 1am for seemingly no reason. At this point, ya know peeing is like around the clock but I didn’t even feel the sensation to pee. I got up to do it anyway, thinking I might as well since I’m up. Fell back asleep. Woke up at 4 to intermittent mild cramps. Fell back asleep. Woke up at 7 to cramps. They were stronger now and to be honest, I just *knew* because I never get up unless I have to pee, and Braxton-hicks contractions aren’t painful. By 7:30, my cramps turned into full blown worst cramps- I’ve-felt-in-my-life kinda deal. I was doubled over on the couch, couldn’t barely breathe during the contractions. I had started timing my contractions from 7 and they progressed from every 7-8 mins to 2-4 in half an hour. Husband drove me to the hospital and I’ll tell you, I could not, for the life of me, sit down normally in the seat. I kneeled facing backwards-like I was straddling the seat (trust me, I was in so much pain, I would have torn anyone’s head off if they tried to correct me). 
Got to the hospital, by this point I’m “walking” slower than a snail because every step during a contraction felt impossible. They check me and I’m dilated to 6. My water has not broken. 
Really quick on the contractions: they get progressively worse, and just when you think “wow, can this hurt even more?” YES. It does and it will. It starts out like the worst cramps you’ve ever felt in you life, then take that X 100. The pain starts out like around the belly but when you’re in full blown labor, it takes over your entire body. You won’t be able to focus on anything except the enveloping pain that rolls through you and squeezes the life out of you. The minutes between contractions are like coming up for air when you’ve been under water too long: way too short. 
I had the shakes during labor as well. Shaking uncontrollably, continuously was so annoying on top of everything else going on. 
While I lay in bed and wait to fully dilate, the nurses offer me different positions to try but I just couldn’t do anything but lie there. For me, the thought of standing up was torture (I always thought I wanted to try and stand/sway when I was laboring but nope, farthest thing from what I wanted at that moment). 
I finally dilated to 10 around 2ish pm and started pushing. And here is where I wish I could have had a beautiful end to my natural labor story. I pushed for an hour. Nothing. Doc checks and realizes for some reason my cervix is no longer fully dilated -I’m “9.5” only. There’s a piece of cervix that was “hanging down/not pulled back all the way” whatever that means.  That’s the end of my natural labor story. 
(Story ends with me having an unplanned c-section the next morning at 1am, after having spiked a fever, having to get an epidural, unsuccessfully pushing for another 4.5 hours, so 5.5 hours total of pushing -trust me, that is a LONG time to push even for first timers). 
Just my two cents :
I did not have an obvious mucus plug to signal that I was in labor. 
My water never broke on its own. When I was fully dilated at 10, the doc had to break it for me. 
I had my second child via VBAC successfully but I went into with an epidural right away because I was not allowed to push beyond 1 hr per my doc due to my previous experience. With her, I did have an obvious mucous plug showing right before contractions began. Water never broke with her either. 
And I just wanted to say: I actually missed the labor pains😅 honestly, the second time around was so so so so so so so easy compared to the first. No pain. My husband and I were just on our phones, listening to music, chatting normal like every day. Then it was “oh, ok you’re dilated to 10 let’s start pushing”. Pushed and thankfully it went well, but I didn’t really feel anything. And it was over. I was awake and rested and didn’t feel that much different. I didn’t feel like I gave birth at all. Pregnant with my 3rd and want to try a natural birth again.  Call me crazy. Haha.

I was watching tv with my husband when I felt really strong kick that I got up. As soon I stood up I could hear/feel like pop of small ballon and water came out. My water broke. We both were kind of surprised with it. Shortly after that my contractions start. At beginning it was like mild cramping during the period. My whole life I had painful periods so I got used on pain. I am saying this because when it was time for last push it felt like stronger period pain but it lasted for only few seconds. Most of my friends said how it was the worst pain of their life while for me it was regular period cramping type of pain. The only thing different was that my lower back hurt, but that was solved with putting heating pads on it. My labor(from time my water broke until I was holding my little baby boy) was 7 hours, it was completely natural without any meds for pain. Now when I think about it for me it felt like having a period for few hours. Of course after all that work you feel tired lol

It literally feels like you have one foot in the hospital the other in the graveyard 💀 very painful! Well for me it was idk about other women
