boyfriend doesnt really buy me presents

my bf and I have been together for almost a year now so dont get me wrong, I love this man to death lol.

but it annoys me sometimes that he doesnt "spoil" me occasionally. he made the comment that his friend went crazy buying his girl presents for vday and she's gonna end up using him because of it

I'm trying to be patient ab it because I've never really been a materialistic person, my boyfriend spoils me other ways, but it wouldve been nice to receive even some candy or a stuffed animal on Valentine's day😕
