Do I break up with my bf?

So I’m 16 and my bf and I hav been together for almost 7 months now. He went away a lil while ago and since he was away our relationship hasn’t really been the same. He doesn’t put in a lot of effort and that makes me feel unwanted I guess. I no if I breakup with him he’s going to be really upset but since his trip away I haven’t felt the same way about him. I still love him and care about him but not in a bf gf kinda way. Every time I try and end it I just can’t bring myself to doing it because I care about him so much and don’t want to see him like that. I’m also worried that about him after the breakup as he already doesn’t hav very good mental health. I don’t think he would ever do anything to harm himself but the thought is still in the back of my mind. I just need a lil bit of advice as to how to go about it. xxx
