Has anyone given their 4 months old baby any baby food?

How do you start and what type of food do you give them? 
Can they have any kind of juice? 
I will consult my pediatrician tomorrow. I’m just curious as he is nearly 4 months and i have seen so many baby purees that are 4+ in the supermarket.

Wait until 6 months or all signs of readiness are met. Juice is completely unnecessary. Fresh fruit is better.

Juice before a year is not good for kids, it’s basically just sugar seater.  It’s really best to wait until 6 months for foods.  It ensures their gut is ready for foods and reduces their future risk of diabetes, obesity, and other digestion related issues.

It’s only a couple more months to give your baby a really prime start on things 🥰🥰🥰

The new recommendation is 6 months, but they should also be able to sit and no longer have the tongue thrust reflex as well

I started solids with my son 7 yrs ago after the doc suggested it at about 4 1/2 months. He was already sitting up by himself and wasnt satiated with milk alone, and more milk wasnt what he wanted (6vs 8oz). He didn't have the push reflex and we started with about 1 tsp of vegetables after milk. It's not commonly recommended anymore to start before 6 months so be sure to talk to your doc for his or her recommendations

We started purées at 4 months but we were cleared by our doctor to do so. She met all the signs of readiness. We tried oatmeal cereal and she wasn’t a fan so we skipped and went to purée veggies. We introduced a new food every 3-4 days to watch for any allergic reactions. 
Our daughter is almost 6 months and she eats avocado, sweet potato, peas, carrots, prunes, pears, peaches, apple and banana.  She has 1 meal a day at dinner time and it’s not in place of breast feeding or formula. 
Definitely get your doctors approval before starting solids and no juice. It’s not necessary and shouldn’t be given until babies a year old.
