Baby burping

My baby is three months old and I try my best to burp my son but my baby doesn’t burp at all. My baby burps or farts on his own. His pediatrician said it’s because of his age but I should still try even though he does it on his own. At this point I feel like it’s pointless to try because he just doesn’t at all. I feel like I make the whole feeding and burping and changing process longer. When I can finish faster by taking out the burping part. What should I do? Any advices?
