No. You do whatever YOU want. I had showers for each of my kids. Every single one of them was celebrated.

I don’t think it’s greedy even if it’s the same gender 🤷🏼‍♀️ a new baby still can be celebrated and you wouldn’t need much anyways.... but burp cloths, blankets, diapers, pacifiers, etc are always appreciated I think. 
Of course there are always greedy people... but do I think every situation of a second celebration is fueled by greed? Most certainly not.

Even if it’s the same gender I don’t think it’s “greedy” I had two boys and my mother in law threw me a baby shower/ sprinkle for both (second one I didn’t even know was happening and was a total surprise) in her eyes and mine every baby should be celebrated!

Nope. I have two girls and a baby shower with first and sprinkle with second. They are 7 yrs apart but even if they were closer I would of still celebrated them.

I think you should get a baby shower one time for each different gender. 
One for boy, one for girl. 
You need completely different things for girls vs boys!

The only reason I would have had a baby shower with this one is if he had been a girl, but it’s my second boy so I don’t need anything.
