When to start prenatals

When did you start taking prenatal dha? I’ve been taking a prenatal vitamin without dha and plan to take that for at least a month before I start trying. Was it recommended to anyone to take the dha prior to conception, and for how long?

I've stayed on them for a while now. I had my son nov. 2018, so throughout pregnancy and about 6 months before I conceived...then I breastfed and on no protection, so doc recommended I keep taking them as we didnt know when we would start trying again

I started with my first two pregnancy after I got a positive and we're trying again first month and I started taking folic acid only on cd1 my iron levels are fine so I'll just eat really healthy

I started taking multivitamin that has folate. My doctor said my iron level is already good and prenatal with iron can be negative for me before I actually get pregnant.

I started taking a prenatal with dha as soon as I got my iud taken out which ended up bring about a year and a half before conceiving.
