LO always wakes up crying/crabby

Hey girls!

So literally since the day he was born, my LO NEVER wakes up in a good mood. Whether it's for a nap or at night, he always wakes up super agitated and crying like he's hurt or super mad. He never just opens his eyes and is "up". His arms flail everywhere, head starts cocking side to side and he starts crying. I guess I get it in the middle of the night because we wakes up due to hunger or needing a diaper change or both, but shouldn't he wake up happy from naps? He's pretty easy to calm down so I guess it's no big deal...just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?
