I think my bf is gonna break up with me

So he worked a 12 hr shift on Thursday night, but usually he will call or text me before he goes in. He didn’t. And I express to him how that made me feel because I at least wanted to hear from him like one text. Anyways, on Friday he texted me and just said he needed space like wtf. He didn’t explain why, or what he meant by that. So I just didn’t text him back after that. Anyways what y’all think I should do. And if you have any constructive criticism to say, don’t say anything at all. Like I honestly don’t want to hear anyone cursing me out.
