Does anyone else suffer from Aura Migraines

Question

I haven’t had an attack in quiet sometime but over the weekend I had 3. Yes it’s just my aura migraine and not a sign of preeclampsia. But Tylenol is just not helping and I can’t take my prescription while pregnant from my primary doctor. Does anyone have any tricks or tips or if their obgyn prescribed them anything. I’m running off of 3 hrs of sleep and have a headache that feels like a hangover and of course on my busiest day of the week when all 3 kids have stuff going on including dentist appointments this morning.

I get them 😓 they’re horrible but I get the bright spots in my vision just slightly before I get the pain of the headache. As soon as I notice the change in my vision, I’ll pop usually an Advil/Tylenol combo but during pregnancy I’ll stick with Tylenol and go lay down with my eyes covered. It usually doesn’t get too bad that way. Oh, and lots of water!!

So sorry. I had mine for the first time in about a year a couple days ago.  As soon as I noticed the aura I took tylenol and put my 3 year old down for a nap and lied down myself in my darkened room and slept through it. Don't have anything else to give accept I know how you feel. I hope you get some relief

I have them occasionally but haven’t had one this whole pregnancy somehow. Maybe hormones... aI usually would take naproxen sodium for them but I think that medicine is not advisable while pregnant. If that didn’t work I’d force myself to vomit and I’d usually feel better basically immediately. I have no idea why that worked for me a lot of the time.

I got them my first pregnancy. Labor and delivery doctor suggested caffeine (if you haven't already had a lot during that day- still not much more than 200 mg/day). It helped a tiny bit...but really it was a mess. Sorry you are going through that, it's the worst! I continued getting them while nursing my first. I haven't had any this pregnancy but we will see

I had something called an ocular migraine idk if it’s similar but I had no idea it was related to a head ache even ! I was just seeing spots like when you look away from a light and then it took up my entire vision and I went blind for like five terrifying minutes . My daughter was very young and I was pregnant with my son . I started crying and it relieved the tension on my retina . My head never hurt but it was terrifying and I never want another one for sure .
