Would you have a kid if daycare was $1200/month?

Trying to figure out how to afford life if I get pregnant...

There are many factors that play Into making a decision like this. 
1) childcare does not have to be daycare, if this were me I would personally see if in-laws, and parents were available to baby sit. If not I would look for a good in home daycare based on recommendations.
2) why is it you want to work?  is it because you absolutely need the money or is it sorta to get out and still be productive but still bring home a little extra. 
3) is your partners income enough to let you be a SAHM, or is your partner the bread winner and your income could go mostly to daycare?
Personally I like to work so I would send my kids as long as I made more than that and could afford it.

Daycare for my two kids is over $1600 a month.  I make it work by being poor and having the government pay for it 😂
But seriously, I had no idea daycare was that expensive when I had my kids so I suggest either having a really good job or having one parent stay home.  I don’t suggest doing what I’m doing because being poor sucks

Second comment I was a working mom w my forst 2 children n I had great experiences w daycare..I found babysitters there w their own kids..one even quit to work for me.This time around I'm a SAHM and after 21 mos of being home I want to use some day care to go back to school.The only opening we have is more than 1200 plus I d habe to pay for an hr in the a.m.so I m not doing it bc we cant afford it so we wait for another opening..all that said the daycare is amazing w delightful teachers who sing n take the kids outside daily for an hr.They cook organic vegan food n all the babies look happy.U can get a nanny for that money though .Ull know when u find a match somewhere..best of luck

Absolutely not, that's half of our income a month, all the money we spend on school trips, birthdays, clothes, food etc would have to be on childcare. I'd rather be at home with my child than go to work and all my wages be gone on childcare

I personally wouldn’t but I know a co worker who pays that’s much...Honestly think it’s a personal choice
