Cold or Flu during early pregnancy

This may be a silly question but being my first pregnancy (5 weeks) and Im a worry-wart...I need some insight. Between looking on here and on the internet; I haven’t gotten a good answer on whether or not it’s dangerous to get a cold or flu during early pregnancy. Sometimes it’s just avoidable (my husband is home sick and everyone at my work is fricken sick). So I’m bound to catch something...😑

Some places I read say that getting sick during early pregnancy raises the chances of miscarriage: due to baby baby not having much protection from the viruses or birth defects due to all vital organs cell structures are being made up in early pregnancy and being compromised from the viruses.

-Any peace of mind anyone can give me?

-How dangerous is it. I feel like it’s going to be unavoidable getting sick.

-Should I notify my OB right away if I do get sick?
