Me & my hubby are trying to figure out which BC would be best for 17 year old daughter?

So my husband told me he dropped our daughter off at her boyfriend's house (He had a gathering there for the graduating seniors) And he went back because she left her bikini to change it because they would all be in the pool. He asked her boyfriend's mother where she was and she said upstairs. Then he told me that he heard her moaning so he just turned around and left the swimsuit with her boyfriend's mom. Hubby hasn't confronted our daughter yet but if he doesn't I will. After this she will have some serious restrictions so her chances of having sex again will be slim to none but we are still gonna put her on birth control for the "slim" chance part. Which birth control would be most effective for someone that age?

Shes 17...let her go to the doctor and decide for herself which BC will be right for you- that's not your decision! 
Plus what is it with these parents that think banning sex will stop their teenager 🙄

I personally don't think she should be "restricted" if she's graduating in like two months, but you're the parent.

Take her to a gynecologist appointment and let her talk to the doctor alone. The doctor will guide her through her choice and she will get to pick the one that she feels is the best for her. 
Does she have cramps? Is her period light or heavy? Would she prefer to skip her period? Is taking a pill every day at the same time realistic for her? 
Those are all things she needs to take into consideration while picking a method and her doctor will be able to guide her better than you both would at that part.

They harder you all push her the more she will rebel she is her own self I think a grown up conversation would be best and it’s her body so let her talk to the doctor aboht what form she prefers !

I don’t suggest restricting her chances of having sex. That is going to cause a discord and result in her lying and doing it anyways. Take her to a ob/gyn and let her speak with a doctor and discuss which birth control will be best for her. She may have already gone in secret. She is almost 18 and old enough to be having safe sex.

It’s not your decision to make. If she wants to be on BC then let her talk to her doctor and decide what is best on her own. Unless you literally follow her around 24/7 if she wants to have sex she will. So instead of acting like it’s the worst possible thing she could be doing, talk to her about safe sex and so she’s prepared and educated

I would say the implant. Cuz I know when I was 17 I got put on the pill and you have to take them at the same time everyday and not miss any for it to work properly. I always forgot. So then I switched to the implant and it was much better. Lol.

You “restricting” your daughter is only going to make her do it more. That’s not a good parenting choice. Don’t punish her for having sex. Talk to her and tell her about safe sex and birth control. Ask her if she wants to get put on birth control bc it’s HER body. Whatever she chooses with effect it. Let her talk to her doctor, WITHOUT YOU and go from there.

You won’t be able to stop her btw. Clearly her bfs mom doesn’t care and/or they’ll find away. Let her decide on what birth control, but be supportive not judgemental. You want her to trust you and come to you for advice not for her to sneak around you

This seems extreme for a 17yo. Plus they’re DEFINITELY gonna find ways to have sex regardless on how hard you try to stop them 😂 take her to the doctor and let her & the doc figure it out
