Sorry for the weird title but this is a weird question lol I know that my boyfriend is going to propose within the next couple months and I’m terrified I won’t get emotional and cry and that my reaction won’t seem excited. He jokes around and asks me to marry him all the time and I just laugh and say yes😭 did anyone else feel like this but still get super emotional lol I don’t want him to feel bad about it

I was a total asshole! And I regret my reaction 100% , my family helped him plan this whole nice proposal but I guess the ring wasn't ready so he didnt propose, until one day out of the blue while I was washing dishes he tells me to turn around and he was on one knee, ( he had already asked me to marry him and I said yes but he wanted to do it the right way with a ring)  I was so hurt and disappointed because I didn't get the proposal of my dreams and unfortunately I didnt hide my face expressions. When I saw his face and how hurt he was I cried even more, I love my husband very much and I appreciate everything hes done for me but I do regret my reaction. Regardless of when and how he asks, the important thing is that you love him and hes the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.

i didn’t get emotional.  basically just started shaking and covered my face.  i also said “are you seriously doing this right now” bc we were tired and sweaty and in the middle of moving.
