He loves our puppy more?!

Yes I know it sounds pathetic. I’m 14wks pregnant and I’m not sure if I have every right to be jealous or I’m just emotional and sensitive from being pregnant. 
We got a French bulldog and honestly I was so afraid he wouldn’t take care of her or love her. I just couldn’t see I’m not sure why. I thought I would be the only one loving her and taking care of her. WELL to my surprise he fell in love with her and it made me so happy. He took such good care of her I barely had to! He took her everywhere with him and I just got to love her and play with her while he did most the work;) I was so happy and proud of him! Side note I’m spoiled by my bf. He babies me and holds me every single night and all night. I’m HIS baby. BUT the past few nights I tried cuddling next him, he let me for a few minutes then said “can you move her next to me?” No big deal we stopped cuddling so he could cuddle her. I thought it was cute at first. Then the next night, we’re cuddling and she’s closer to me, he moves her between us and puts his arm around her. Falls asleep. This is how it’s been the past week. He holds her instead of me. It’s like our relationship isn’t the same. We cuddled every single night all night. Like come on I’m jealous of our baby puppy! seriously pathetic, I know...Am I being ridiculous? Also if he’s like this with our BABY? 110% okay! Perfect! But come on, it’s a puppy we’re dealing with rn lol

I don’t think you’re being ridiculous. I would hate that. I like dogs but I wouldn’t want one in my bed, especially if it’s a time for my SO and I to spend time together. It sounds like cuddling in bed before going to sleep is an important part of your relationship for you. It’s how you feel loved and it is an intimate time. And with being pregnant, sometimes it’s rough and you just want extra attention and love because being pregnant is just hard sometimes lol especially the first trimester. I think you should talk to him and let him know how much you enjoyed cuddling with him at night and I’m sure he’ll understand

You’re literally jealous over a dog do you hear yourself? I would say you sound dumb but it’s bc youre pregnant most likely so you’re being extra emotional but like...you’re literally jealous of a puppy.
Are you going to be jealous of the baby next? Because you do realize once it’s born the relationship will def change and you won’t be his only “baby” anymore. Right now it’s the dog he’s cuddling but when the baby is born it’s gonna be the baby hes cuddling and giving most of his attention too like...

Just let him know you miss cuddling with him. My partner has the fog between us but he is small so he just lays between us while we cuddle 🤣 it works great. Maybe you could try something like that or just ask that the puppy sleeps at the foot of the bed (you can lay some cozy blankets down there and let her snuggle up in those)

Hey I totally get it! I had an ex who was relatively cold towards me (I had low-self esteem at the time) and he rescued a domesticated bunny that must've been abandoned. He cuddled that thing and showed it more affection in one night than he had ever shown me.
 I was pissed. Pretty different situation, but being jealous over an animal can be a thing!
 I would be upset in your position as well. Don't let these bitter, angry women tell you that your feelings aren't valid.

You can very easily get an infection by having a dog sleep in your bed while pregnant because your immune system is down also I would try to acclimatise your dog to how you want it behave when the baby is here, obviously it isn’t safe to have a baby and dog in bed with you, I’m not saying don’t give the dog attention but just make sure you aren’t setting it up to be super jealous when it stops getting as much attention when your baby is here.

I mean, I love my dogs like that and my husband loves our dogs more than me...he would totally do this. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Be glad he’s bonding with the dog and not abusing it. It’s probably because she’s new and she’s a puppy. Your pregnancy hormones could be making you feel extra jealous too.

I dont have a dog but we have two cats. My husband cuddles my one cat all night. They wont fall asleep at night unless they are next to it.  I dont mind it lol
