Flying a 130 lb dog across the country?

My boyfriend is getting stationed over seas and desperately needed to find someone he trusts to care for his dog and we both decided that the best option is if I took care of him while he’s gone. Him and I already do long distance which is the one concern in all of this.. how do we get his pup over to me?

He has a 130lb Great Pyrenees mix. This guy is massive!!

Driving isn’t much of an option unless I drive 24+ hours to pick him up by myself then 24+ hours back. That’s our last option.

Another option and in my opinion the best one is flying him. I’d go pick him up and fly over with him. It’s a simple 4ish hour flight if it’s a one way flight.

He is going to need a massive kennel and I haven’t found any information online about an airplane company who would accept such a large dog. My boyfriend also doesn’t trust any company to drive him across the country which was another option, he wants him or I to be with him the whole time.

At the end of the day we need to get his dog here some how. I would prefer flying him over. Does anyone have an experience with this?
