Trials of Gabriel Fernandez *trigger warning*

For anyone who hasn’t watched it. It’s a documentary on a little 8 year old boy that was abused, tortured and murdered by his mother and her boyfriend. The main point of the documentary is how he fell threw the cracks of cps and the police. This documentary proves that our system set in place to protect children is incredibly broken. What do you think should be done to fix it?

Bonus question: Should the caseworkers be held responsible if something like this happens again even if they’re following procedures?
