Anyone on Kyleena iud??

Been considering Kyleena but I’m a little worried about the effect the hormone may have on my mood. How was your experience? Do you like it? How much would you say it’s affected ye mood/mental health?

I have it! I don’t feel like it’s affected my hormones or anything like that but mine hurts me! I’ve had it almost two years and I’m getting mine out in a month. I get really bad cramps and I NEVER used to, at all. And it throws my periods wayyy off. They aren’t regular and sometimes I bleed for two or three weeks. My first period with it lasted 58 days. So personally I do not like it but some people love them and have no issues with them. It all depends on your body.

I have kyleena but previously had skyla. Pretty much the same.. I use to get cramps with skyla.. I have none with kyleena. I havent had a period for 4 years now.. hurts getting it in and out. I can't tell the mental impacts.

I have the Kyleena and nothing has really changed! Although when I got it I had to be on my period (recommended by my OB). I bled for 5 months after that. I also have REALLY BAD almost unbearable cramps from time to time and sometimes get a really bad migraine a day or two before my cycle should start. The one good thing I can say about it is I haven’t had a period now in 4 almost 5 months! I will say this though, it hurt getting it inserted and I’ve heard it’s 10x worse getting it removed. I’ve had it a year and a half now.
