Those are her private things and what's done is done can't really be mad. If it's something really concerning that could harm her then say something but other wise just let it go

If it’s alcohol, she’s in college, just assume she’s drinking at this point. Sorry, that’s the truth at that age. My parents just asked that I not drive and if I needed a ride they parked a few streets over. They knew at that age we were going to do it whether they liked it or not.

My mom went through my private journals , needless to say, I never share anything with her.
It made me so upset, my privacy was broken. I still can never trust her.
I deeply feel like this is why we dont have a good relationship.

My mom would look through my journals and would want to discuss what she read. I didn’t want to discuss my private thoughts with her. I don’t remember if she dropped it or not. 
I wouldn’t unless there was a strong reason to such as if my kid is dealing with depression ,any type of suicidal thoughts, bullying , etc. I would give them a chance to talk to me first before I try to figure out if something is wrong.

My mom kicked me out when I was 19 because I went to a friends house to let her have alone time with her boyfriend on valentine's day. I didnt answer her calls because my phone died and she sent the cops after me. Like I had been murdered. She found out by snooping through my stuff I had a boyfriend. Apparently, she thought that was her business. I hadn't lived with her since I was 12. My dad divorced her for cheating on him. 
I was in college, on the Dean's list, paying rent, buying groceries and doing laundry while I was working full time. But because she snooped around and got pissed about stuff without talking to me she kicked me out. I was living with her because it was closer to my college than my dads house. I had to live out of my car for three months before I found a friend who needed a roommate. My satisfaction, I had all the clean laundry in my car which was all the toweIs when she kicked me out. Lol. Imagine her inconvenience. 
 I had to drop out of college because I had to work two jobs to support myself. 
I got a better job. I worked through the equivalent of an internship. I have been in the field for 13 yrs.
I stopped talking to her. I cut off contact with her. She hated everything I did with my life and tried to ruin it. 
She told me to break up with my fiance once she found out I had one. She didnt get an invite to the wedding. 
I kept no contact till she died last year. I am not even sad. 
No it's not ok to snoop. Respect is important.

A mother would not do that if she  wants to have a mature and respectful relationship with her kid who is now an adult. 
The dynamic should not be child-parent anymore. They are adult and adult.
