Baby monitor on all night?

This may be a silly question, but do you all leave the baby monitor on all night with the volume up so you wake up when the baby does? I sleep with the baby monitor on and since I'm a light sleeper I'll wake up at my baby's every noise. I would probably wake up in the morning if I hear baby crying loudly from his room.

When I bought it monitor, I specifically looked for the feature where the screen and sound can be off and will turn back on when the baby makes noise. I can set the sensitivity too so I now have the sensitivity lower so he has to be louder before it will turn on. When he was younger I had it more sensitive. Works great!

We had the same discussion and Turned ours off recently.
Baby boy is a loud sleeper and makes noise/cries/whimpers in his sleep every time he rolls over. 
He’s been sleeping through the night quite a while but We are still so exhausted. Decided there’s no need for us to wake up when he’s rolling over and he’s not even waking up. 
When he’s really awake he lets us know for sure!

We keep ours on all night but there is no way we could hear her from our room. Our room is downstairs and hers is upstairs.

I’ve never even had a baby monitor   It’s pretty easy to hear him crying. He’s loud lol

I turn it off but leave my door open- she’s literally right next door . I never had it on because I’m such a light sleeper , I hear everything . The volume on only made it louder and more annoying, I had it on one night and said nope . I hear her and attend to her when needed but I can tune her out when she is just playing around

Turned it to mute months ago. Can hear him juuuust fine if he really wakes up. I don’t wake up if he’s shifting or making a random noise 👍🏻
