Bad experience with Misoprostol/ cytotec

I had what is called a missed miscarriage it was over a month since my baby had stopped growing and my body wasn’t doing anything to start the miscarriage. I was given 4 misoprostol pills vaginally. I thought it wasn’t going to work like the last miscarriage I took close to 21 pills over the course of a week and nothing.

But this time I had no blood at all for 8 hours when suddenly I

felt a pop and began to bleed and would not stop. My MIL said it was normal blood loss. But I soaked 4 large baby diapers in less than an half an hour. I’m grateful to be alive still. I was panicking and gave in to MILs advice to calm down and stop over reacting. But we all know to trust our bodies and our instincts.

I took too long and I risked my life by waiting almost an hour with non stop bleeding. Every person is different and God let me be of the people that tolerate blood loss I guess, but I’m certain if I had waited another hour things could have endjed really bad. I was still bleeding and my blood pressure plummeted less than an hour after arriving at the ER. I was rushed to surgery for an emergency D&C and had to sign high risk forms before the surgery

so I was terrified. Really hard and sad experience. Thank God I’m ok now.

my baby came out with the first gush of blood with no sac or anything. Just floating in a bunch of clots. He or she was 8.5 weeks👼🏻
