Flathead at 6 months- will it round out?

My son has right sided flatness due to torticollis and doc doesn’t recommend Helmet and says may round out on its own... 
Anyone have a a flathead baby and see it round out eventually on its own?

I’d get a second opinion.  My little cousin didn’t get his flat spot fixed as a baby and he’s got such a strange shaped head as an adult 😬

We went to physical therapy and they measured and monitored my daughter’s head shape over time. I’d at least recommend that if not the helmet.

My son had the same thing due to tort and we did physical therapy and he had a helmet. There was no way I was leaving his head rounding out to chance . I’d get a second opinion.

The back of my son's head was pretty flat at 6 months but now at 12 months it's looking a lot better! It's still not perfect but it's a major improvement, and our doctor said it will continue to round out till about 18 months. In my province they'll only approve helmets for special cases, like babies with developmental delays (where there would be delays in sitting up/crawling/etc).

Perhaps ask about physical therapy to treat the torticollis if it’s still an issue.
