Advice when buying a house ?

What is something you would advice me to do in the process of buying a house.. we are thinking about going to the bank to see how much we qualify for... we really don’t know much about how the market works and all the stuff you have to do. 
Home owners what’s some advice I could get from you?

Make sure inspections are done on any house you are olanning to purchase. Nothing sucks worse than getting into a house and realizing there's a problem.

Do not buy a house that’s the mortgage payment is at the top of your budget. If something comes up you’ll be struggling to make each mortgage payment   And if you can pay more than the minimum each month. We actually pay an extra $300 toward our house a month and it will knock off like 12 years off our loan 
Def get pre approved too so you have a good idea of price range to look at

Get bank statements, tax returns, investment /insurance statements together and recent paystub for mortgage preapproval. Don’t take on any new debt- cars/credit cards for the whole process. 
The first year is going to be very hard. But then it’s cake! Good luck

Get preapproved !!!! I can not stress it enough. When we bought our house it had several offers on it already but even though we had a lower offer, we were the only ones preapproved and the seller accepted ours because it meant we had the money and could move quickly.

Definitely speak to them and see how much you can afford monthly. Better credit is always going to be better as well.
Speak to a realtor with your budget and find a home that meets a majority of your wants/needs and remember it’s hard to find one that has it all.
I’d also recommend a really good home warranty company to have in case something goes wrong with an appliance. Our A/C leaked through our ceiling in the first 4 months of having the home and ruined an entire bedroom.

Get a realtor and see what lenders they can offer. Shop around lenders and see which one can get you the best mortgage rate and interest rate. Know that depending on which loan you get you can put 20% down to save money and not pay PMI monthly. Looks at schools (if you have kids/will have kids), crime rate, and pedophiles.
