I don’t want to move?

My husband and I are 25 and 24 with a dog and no kids. He’s always said he wants to move out of state but I don’t want to. I want to be near my family and I love my job (they’re family to me) and I love my area. I couldn’t imagine up and leaving and I don’t want to. When I told him I’d rather not until maybe later on in life he jokingly said “well I’d just leave still”. Is that a thing? What if he’s dead ass wanting to move and I’m dead ass not wanting to?

Sit down and talk to him about it. You both need to be on the same page when it comes to this. So communicate with him and talk to him. If it was just a joke then he probably wasnt serious, but you dont know that for sure which is why you both need to have a serious conversation about if and when this would happen

When I was 19 I moved from Wisconsin to Texas with my now fiancé. We were all for moving though! Yes family is always a thing that gets me down because I can’t just get up and drive 10 minutes to go see someone. A year into being here I broke down because I just missed my family so much. My fiancé has family here and I have none. We made an agreement that we fly back every Christmas and maybe an extra trip or 2 throughout the year if our finances can do so. Since then it’s been much better. The best thing is FaceTime and talking to them almost every other day! I’m not going to lie you do miss a lot of milestones with nieces/nephews, events, and some other things. You’re both married now and need to communicate if it’s just family that’s holding you back have a conversation on times you can go back and visit. Moving states is such a huge adjustment and if y’all aren’t on the same page things won’t last.

My husband told me he would never leave his town in PA. He moved with me to New Mexico for 2 years and loved it. We have since moved again but he wants to move back.

Ummm u married. Express your concerns and both of make your checklist why leave and with stay. Then make a decision.  But you also can’t make a decision just about your family. U now have a new family which is ur husband. So focus on that.
