I just found out.... and I’m worried!

TTC for #2 since January. PCOS and just came off BC.

Last week I fell violently ill with an intestinal infection. It was horrendous. Diarrhea, vomiting, etc. My doctor sent me to the ER because I was so dehydrated. While I was in both the doctors office and the ER they did pregnancy tests and they were all negative. I ended up getting IV fluids for my dehydration and getting a CT scan on my abdomen to see what was going on.

Turns out- I just had the stomach bug but the scan found that I have gallstones, a kidney stone, and a renal lesion on my kidney. I need an ultrasound to determine course of treatment on my kidney.

Today I followed up with my doctor since being sick and they took a urine sample. I am pregnant! But..... I was exposed to high doses of radiation from the CT and I’m freaking out!

Has anyone had something similar happen to them? I had negative tests a week ago and I’m just shocked it didn’t even show up on a blood test last week. Any words of encouragement that the direct radiation won’t affect the fetus?! 😩😢
