How do I forgive, but keep my distance from someone?

Hi, I really need some help. My sister and I were REALLY close, but she really did me dirty. I’m really not going to write it all down, just know she did some shitty things to me and behind my back. We’re in our twenties, going to the same college, taking the same classes so its really hard to keep my distance. I’m willing to forgive, but I need my space away from her. Who she is now isn’t my sister and I don’t want to be around that negativity, so how do I forgive and keep my distance if she’s always around me? Please, I need some tips or some guidance :(

I would say just start with little steps like: not calling her, if she calls not answering. If she asks play like you didn’t realize she called or you were showering and meant to call back. 
Not going by her home anymore or having her come by your house. And only meeting in public settings. You don’t have to “block” her on social media rather than just remove her from your newsfeed. That way she can still goto your page and see SOME of your stuff but not all which shouldn’t alarm her to bring “blocked”
These steps may give her a hint eventually and being y’all have class together you will need to tell her eventually that she did you wrong and you need time and space. That there will always be love or a mutual respect given y’all are sisters but she needs to respect your space. 
Eventually maybe enough time and distance will occur that you can tolerate her presence. 
I have a sister like this I was once really really close to but she turned down a much different path and there seems to be an extreme disconnect with her thought processing. 
She no longer is the same person at all. I’m afraid she will never be the same. 
She needs to be sober for a solid year to even realize the magnitude of the wrong she has done. 
For me my sister will remain a bipolar narcissist sociopath. And I am labeling her kindly too. 
Do sorry your relationship with her is destroyed.

There’s not much you can do about school, but you can set boundaries beyond that.  If she asks to hang out, say no thank you, that you need space. Do you have the same friend group?  If so, talk to them so they don’t invite you both to the same things or can warn you if she will be there.

You’re allowed to forgive and still set boundaries ! That doesn’t mean you have to stay in touch. Keep your distance during class, don’t respond to texts
