Was I in the wrong to ask my mom if she’s in an abusive relationship

My mom and step dad were arguing over forms and she was really bashing him and I was close by when she compared him to my dad. So I chimed in and said stop gaslighting and how she shouldn’t compare him to my dad. (She’s gaslighted me my entire life and really goes on a rant about what’s wrong with you, how stupid you are, and etcetc) My dad was terrible. Then she went on how my step dad threw the laptop at her. I wasn’t there to see it but they were both sitting next to each other so he most likely shoved it back? Not once did she make a sound or commented about the laptop thing until after I said don’t compare him to my dad. So once he went upstairs I asked if she was in an abusive relationship and she said no and started getting mad I asked. And I said well you said the laptop was thrown at you and you compared him to someone who was abusive, it’s not uncommon to ask. And she said you live here do you see me with bruises. And I said and I lived with my ex and he didn’t give me any bruises but I was still abused. Then she went on like oh now it’s about you I see and how I use that as a crutch. And I said that’s the problem you know someone is being abused and you ignore it (she saw how my ex was with me and still let me move in with him), and I’m not claiming I can’t move on with my life because of it, I was just asking because I care. Then she said how I’m not her counselor or whatever. Like I don’t think it’s crossing the line to make sure someone is ok and not in an abusive relationship. Apparently she was more talking about my dad and said there’s stuff I can never know right in the beginning of the relationship which usually means someone wants you to ask about it. So I left her alone after. Usually my step dad is calm and they never argue but idk just had to ask
