Extremely emotional

So I had an appointment yesterday and I was scheduled for a non stress test and it showed that I was having strong consistent contractions which I had been feeling since the night before but my cervix was only a 1 so I was sent home. They stopped around 3 yesterday afternoon so I figured it was just false labor. This morning I am unbelievably emotional and I keep crying and I almost had to call my mom to come take my toddler because he was doing things that normally would make me a little frustrated but are sending me into crying fits. I know it’s not normal behavior and I’m trying to stop. I told my husband about it and he’s convinced it’s a sign of labor but I’ve never heard of having outrageous mood swings as a sign of labor. Has anyone experienced this? I feel like an absolute basket case.
