Second degree perineal tearing is healing wrong?

So I just had my baby girl a little over a week ago and during my delivery I had a 2nd degree perineal tear so I had to get stitches. Well days go by and as I'm healing I had my first bowel movement since before delivery and I felt nothing but relief.

However when I went to wipe I kept feeling an odd lump just outside of my anus(me thinking maybe I just missed a little and tried to tug at it) But I thought I'd play it safe and take a thorough shower and be brave enough to take a peek in the mirror. There's a whole line of extra skin just sitting between my vagina and anus, kinda like that serged edges on the inside seam of a shirt just resting in the middle of my crotch. Is this skin tag normal after being stitched up and can it/should it be removed? My next dr appointment is later this week
