Any doctors here who can PLEASE help me with kidney question?

M

So I had leukocyte esterase and wbc in my urine in both 2018 and 2019 urinalysis reports. My doc didn’t say anything and I didn’t think much of it. I wasn’t sexually active at the time either. I’m looking it up and google says it could be due to inflammation of kidneys or urinary tract due to infection. I’m not sure if these instances could have damaged my kidneys?!? I got “negative” for protein in my urine in 2018 and 2019.

Now I went for my physical and the results came back.

I had 1 wbc in my urine which shows as normal range of 0-5 so I’m not worried about that. Leukocyte esterase was negative, so that’s an improvement from 2018 and 2019.

My main concern is this.

My serum creatinine is 1.09 (normal 0.55-1.02), and my BUN is 23 (normal 7-18). My GFR came back as 60 with normal of 60-130. I’m only 28 years old... it says it should be around 116 for my age. I’m really worried now as I’m across the country for a job so I can’t go back to my doctor and they didnt even give me these results until I kept calling and bothering them for over a month. I understand that even if GFR is high but if you have proteinuria that means you can have kidney disease. I have no protein in my urine which would indicate kidney damage, I have no hypertension nor diabetes. I’m a bit overweight but that’s all. I have no diseases. Could I be suffering from kidney disease if my gfr is so close to the lower end of normal? One of my parents and their relatives has transplants and kidney disease so I get that the family history could put me at risk but I’m shocked because I’m healthy otherwise. I’m also lost because my doctor never called me to discuss this so maybe it isn’t an issue. I’m not sure. Please help? 😢
