no bottles at 10 months?!

hey everyone 
so my boy is almost 10 months and at his 9 month check up the health visitor was kinda judgey and shocked he still has bottles!
She said he needs to be off them and told us to start with dropping his morning bottle. but also gave me a rant about making sure he has enough calories as he's veggie. 
He has pretty much stopped his lunch bottle on  his own accord. 
so now he eats breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. plus about 18-20oz milk a day. the last 7oz before bed still in his bottle, the rest in the day are in sippy cups.
has anyone else heard cutting out  bottles at 10 months old?

Do you mean no bottles as in transitioning to all sippy cups or no bottles as in getting more food than milk? Food shouldn’t replace breastmilk or formula until they’re one year old.

I’m pretty sure it should continue until they’re a year old. I would get a second opinion. My son eats breakfast lunch snack and dinner and still drinks 5 bottles a day of 6oz👀

Food before is just for fun. 
That's what I've always went by. Until age 1, formula or breastmilk should be their primary source of "food"/nutrition. 
So I wouldn't completely cut bottles if you aren't ready.
We personally didnt stop bottles with any of our kids until 14ish months. However, they did do mostly sippy or open cups after 1 y.o.

I cut off bottles before one, he drank his formula in soppy cups. I just mixed with a spoon lol and he didn’t get milk before bed. He got it like an hour before.

Recommend age to stop bottles is 1 year  And 1.5 at the LATEST.

Mine drinks whole milk from her bottle 8 Oz and at night. Only time she gets bottles

My nieces were premature and had a special formula they  drank the formula up til 1 yrs old as it was suggested. It's okay to transition to sippy cups but keep the formula until he no longer wants it anymore or is 1. That's my thoughts on it.

Did she mean get him off the bottle And on to a sippy cup? Or from the bottle to solid food?

We did milk in a soft sippy cup. We got this training cup kit from target at around 6 months and transitioned him that way. Just gave his formula in his cup instead of a bottle.  I dont think it's a huge issue either way as long as they're fed. Dont worry about switching if your child isnt interested

We were told to have bottles as the main form of nutrients until 1. Even after 1 we finished off the formula we had left before stopping bottles all together, and her doctor said that was fine.
