Is it sexual assault if my brothers friend tried to have sex with my when I was 4 and he was 7?
Nothing happened but I know he tried to, a lot of my memory is missing but it affected me

It's definitely not nothing. If it still bothers you, then it was a traumatic experience and you should seek therapy to overcome it. I'm going through something similar. I hope you get better

Yes, of course it’s assault and you, as a survivor, have the right to feel the way you feel. Please seek help. Not to excuse his behavior but it makes me wonder if he was being molested since he tried to assault you. Once again, please seek help and know that you’re brave and one day, once you talk it out with a professional, you will feel better and not have this weighing you down.
