Good Mexican rice recipe?

I'm looking for a recipe like what you will get at a restaurant. I've always just used the boxed kind, but my husband wanted restaurant quality, so I tried making it myself for the first time. It was nasty. I guess that's what happens when you click on the first recipe you find on Pinterest 🤦‍♀️
If you could, leave your favorite recipe, along with instructions, please!

My mother in law taught me its 1-1-2
1 Cup of Rice
1 Cup of Tomato Sauce
2 Cups of Water
1. Put oil in a medium pan
2. Add 1 cup of rice
3.Cook the rice for about 4-5 minutes you'll notice because they look a little darker, don't let it burn though
4.Add the tomato sauce. i personally use El Pato Sauce because I love that it has a little tint of spicy 
5.Stir it around
6.Then fill the can with water 2 times and poor it in the rice 
7. Then mix it around, add as much salt as needed i usually put a small pinch 
8.Add about two teaspoons of Knorr Bouillon Chicken , if you feel the need to add more go ahead. 
9.If the water tastes good, I just use a finger and dip it and taste it then cover it up, if not add as much salt or Bouillon Chicken as you need
10.Cover the pan and put to a medium low heat, and let cook for 20 minutes, and there you go!
For every 1 cup of rice is 2 cups of water and 1 can of tomato sauce , so if you want to make more than 1 cup there you go easy and done my man loves it

Use a cast iron skillet

And substitute this (you can make 2 cups using 2 tsp in boiling water) for the chicken/vegetable stock. Oh, & don't use brown rice.
My family has a bunch of great Mexican rice recipes passed down through the generations & this one tops them. 🤷‍♀️ I found it in a bind when my other cook books were packed away & I'm never going back. Lol.
