4month old rolling over while sleeping

My 4 month old has learned to roll on to his belly and when it’s bed time we’ll put him in his crib and he’ll roll to his belly but he hates it and just cries so we’ll turn him on his back again but he’ll keep rolling to his belly. His pediatrician said that we should just let him cry but he can cry for 2 hours straight or longer until we pick him and I just can’t sleep with him in our bed anymore. Any suggestions? Pillows? Advice? This tired mom just NEEDS sleep, at least a little longer.
