What Jesus endured for us.

So ladies I'm not gone post a scriptures on the crucifixion. But you can read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John on the process of what Jesus went through for us. However I got curious about just what it was that Jesus paid for us. So I decided to do research on the details of crucifixions, particularly around Jesus time. And I found that scourgings was done with Flagrums. Flagrums was a small whip that had leather strands and on the strands were broken bone, iron and lead balls.

This beating was done until the flash was torn in such a way until bone could be seen. So when Jesus was beaten for us, He endured something so horrendous. The crown of thorns was made from a thorn bush that is called crown of thorn bush. The thorns are said to be over 1 inch long and very sharp. So when Jesus was crowned with this thorn it is easy to assume that the thorns broke the skin of us head and pierced him. The beam that Christ had to carry was 110 pounds. The nails that pierced his hands and the heal of his feet were 5-7 inches long. And the point of crucifixions were that the accused bones would often get dislocated from the weight of their bodies, and their ribs was set in such a way that it couldnt expand for breathing. So they would have to try and stand on the nails so they could catch their breath. Which would cause pain to shoot through their feet. When reading the details of what my Lord went through for me, for you all, for the world, Lord it makes me sad. Because we did not deserve this kind of commitment or sacrifice. But He did it anyways just so that we may be saved. But, I thank the Lord Jesus that he didnt get up off of that cross because we now can receive salvation because he stayed there.
