I told him I loved him and he didn’t say it back

We’re each other’s first real real relationship and couple days after Valentine’s Day I told him I loved him. My heart was racing and I probably could’ve shat myself there. We’ve been together for 9 months and he told me he wants to hold off on saying that until we at least reach a year to make sure it’s not just lust. I was fucking heart broken and so mad. But got over it and the other day he told me he wants to take me somewhere beautiful. So I’m thinking like an idiot ok maybe he’ll say it now. We watched the sunset and he took pictures but still nothing. It took me a lot of courage and I have never felt this way towards someone before so idk what to do
