I need advice ladies!

Alright, so my now husband tested positive for HPV (genital warts) before we got engaged and his doctor prescribed him something to get rid of them. He hasn't had them for going on 4 years now but I heard HPV never goes away. Am i safe to have unprotected sex/oral sex with him as long as I can't see any warts? He says his doctor confirmed he is cured and that im being dramatic by insisiting on using protection. He says if he has anything then I 100% have it too and should just give in.
