Okay, I have to rant. I’m going a little crazy. So I work for an attorney who is 70 years old. In my opinion, he shouldn’t be practicing anymore but hey, not really my place. The reason I say that is he makes SO many mistakes its unreal... I’ll give you an example. So about a month ago, this couple comes into our office. The husband wants to add his newly married wife to the property that they currently live at. A simple warranty deed which generally takes 20-30 minutes to prepared etc. Anyways, my boss prepared it, had it recorded at the county’s recording department, all good right? Wrong. The guy receives a letter in the mail stating he has lost his homestead exemption for taxes because my boss didn’t add the wife to the property. My boss actually transferred the entire property to the wife, meaning the husband has zero ownership of it. So this guy calls irate as hell. My boss tells him to come in this afternoon so he could fix it. About 45 minutes later the guy calls back and says that his wife just served him with papers for a divorce 😳😳😳 so now the house is hers pretty much, which obviously can be litigated in court but my oh my.... my boss really fucked shit up 😖😣🤯

That’s just the most recently incident but he has been known for filing pleadings in wrong cases, communicating with opposing parties who have counsel, sending incorrect documents etc etc. He literally has 0 organization no matter how hard I’ve tried to implement a system. He just goes against everything I try to do. Like why am I even here 😐

He waits till last minute on everything or waits until something is already done before wanting to make changes 😖

He bills WAY more hours then he actually works or at a ridiculous price. Like nobody should pay $120 for an “email review” that literally says “okay thanks”.

I could scream 😳😳😳 It’s an embarrassment to even work here. I feel like I should report him to the bar.. like it’s something EVERYDAY.

I’m 29 weeks pregnant and losing my patience and sanity more each day 😅
