When to have baby shower

With everything going on, I’m thinking my 4/25 baby shower is going to be cancelled or post poned. I am due 6/27 and planned on this date bc it’s at my in-laws and they were planning on a major home renovation in May. That being said, they’ve pushed off the renovation until further notice. What’s the LATEST I should/ could go? For me, it has nothing to do with the gifts. My husband and I do well and can afford them. It’s about the fact that I had a very hard fertility journey and NEVER thought I’d have this celebration.

I'm in these same situation. I changed mine to a virtual shower so I could keep my date and still celebrate without worrying about going until the last minute. At this point you might want to look into something like that because nobody knows how long this will last.

Oh girl I am in the same boat. I don’t know what’s going to happen but it makes me sad because this is our first baby after trying for 8years. I know your pain and yes it does stink

I would say end of May would be the latest I would go. I’ve seen where people have a “Sip and See” and have like cake and lunch and let everyone meet the baby after birth if there is a conflict with a before birth shower

Due to the unknown I had to cancel indefinitely. I’m due may 22nd and my shower was supposed to be this coming weekend. We’re looking at doing something after baby is born and there’s a better handle on things

I’m due June 1st and cancelled my April showers. We’re just going to wait until after the baby is born

End of May? You might be kind of big and uncomfortable at that point but there’s a good chance this will have died down significantly by then.
