Hey ladies! I have a question about step parent adoption

Hey ladies! I wasn't sure where exactly to post this so you may see it in one or more groups. I would like to know if anyone knows about step parent adoption laws in the state of Georgia. My son's bio dad hasn't seen him in over 2 years and hasn't bought him anything or been generally involved at all. He also isn't listed on his birth certificate and there are no legal documents linking him to my son. My husband has been in his life since he was 1(he's now 5) and he's wanted to adopt him for years. I'm wanting to know if I'm legally obligated to try to notify his bio dad of a step parent adoption.
